A few weeks ago was the first time for me.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Even through the waders, stepping into the snow melt water of the Eagle River sent chills up my spine.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
We had our lines in the water before the sun made its appearance over the ridge of the mountains.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The sound of the water rushing over the boulders\u2026<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The cool rushing water will carry away any stress if you let it.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
As I fell into the rhythm of casting and watching my indicator float downstream\u2026<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I\u2019ll admit, the sudden pull on my line startled me a bit.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It was a fish.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
A few short minutes later the fish was secured in the net.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Rainbow trout are such beautiful creatures.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
After holding it and snapping a couple of quick photos\u2026<\/div>\n
I released it back into the cold water.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Catch.<\/div>\n
Hold.<\/div>\n
Release.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Those three words paint such a beautiful picture for you and I as entrepreneurs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
When you began your entrepreneurial journey you found (catch) certain beliefs and practices.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
It was those beliefs and practices that led to your initial successes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
But if you\u2019re not careful, holding on to those same beliefs and practices will hinder your growth going forward.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
You see, good advice applied at the wrong time is bad advice.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
What was good for you in the early stages often becomes bad for you in later stages.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Discernment is learning how long to hold onto those beliefs and practices.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
So that when the appropriate time comes\u2026<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
You can learn to release\u2026<\/div>\n
And let go of the beliefs and practices that once served you.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
This is never easy.<\/div>\n
But it\u2019s always necessary.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Catch.<\/div>\n
Hold.<\/div>\n
Release.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
What beliefs and practices are you currently holding that may be hindering your growth?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

If you don\u2019t know, chances are good they are hindering you.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
