When it comes to business and leadership, we get to choose between two paths each day.
Both paths lead somewhere.
One is easy, the other more difficult.
One path allows us to coast, whereas the other requires continuous effort.
If we aren’t intentional, we’ll always gravitate toward the path of least resistance—the easy path.
The problem with the easy path is that it leads to the same destination most everyone else is heading: mediocrity.
Not much about mediocrity is exciting.
No one wants to follow a mediocre leader, and no one wants to do business with a mediocre company.
Mediocrity sucks!
The other, more difficult, path leads to a different destination: greatness.
Because it requires substantially more effort, fewer people tend to follow this path.
The path to greatness often requires intentionally choosing to do what we don’t feel like doing.
Choosing to walk this path often means choosing to embrace pain.
But pain is sometimes beautiful because we know pain has a purpose—a destination.
When we embrace the path to greatness, we may not know exactly what lies ahead. But, on the path to greatness, one thing is guaranteed: Adventure Awaits.
Choose the adventurous path.
